Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Can a condominium general meeting be held entirely online?
France
The manager can offer video participation in addition to in-person attendance. However, except under special circumstances, they cannot require a 100% remote general assembly without the option for physical presence. This is set forth in Article 17-1 A of the law of July 10, 1965.
Canada
Rules vary by province. In Quebec, a general assembly can usually be held entirely online if allowed by the condominium bylaws or with co-owners' consent, provided participant identification and vote validity are guaranteed.
How do participants identify themselves during an online general meeting?
Each participant receives a unique ID and an access code. Identification is tracked and archived with the proof certificate.
