New generation GAs: eco-friendly GAs above all!

agconnect is a tool that has revolutionized the way general assemblies are held, whether in co-ownership, in an association or in the context of meetings within NPOs.

Indeed, the tool is based on the dematerialization of meetings, and was made to allow participants to access the assembly from their phone, tablet or computer, in brief, remotely, so from anywhere in the world.

The tool has made it possible to change many parameters previously inherent in the holding of meetings such as these, and in particular the fact of having to travel to be able to attend them, which is no longer the case. It should be noted that participants who still wish to attend physically can do so, which gave rise to “hybrid’’ GAs.

Indeed, it is obvious that these changes have positive impact on the environment, via the reduction of the carbon footprint. The new way of holding general assemblies with the agconnect tool is actually much more eco-friendly! We give you the proof in this article by doing a little check-up on the carbon footprint together.

But first, a little reminder of what the carbon footprint is:

“The carbon footprint is an indicator that aims to measure the impact of an activity on the environment, and more particularly the greenhouse gas emissions linked to this activity. This impact is usually expressed in carbon dioxide equivalent or CO2e.” (blog hellocarbo.com)

Here is how agconnect reduces the carbon footprint:

  • Movements: central point of the carbon footprint, human movement is indeed considerably reduced within the framework of a dematerialized assembly. Out of an assembly of 50 participants, agconnect makes it possible to connect 75% of participants remotely, thus reducing GHGs (greenhouse gases) by the same amount.

  • Communication & transmission of documents: thanks to agconnect, there is no longer any need to print invitations to distribute them to participants! From now on, we send them directly by e-mail, and we use the electronic signature if necessary. We reduce the paper to the maximum and this even applies to the minutes of meetings once the meeting is over.

  • The caterer: who says physical meeting, says room rental and very often caterer to serve drinks or snacks to participants. This involves several parameters related to this category of the carbon footprint: whether the caterer is local or not (GHG), the packaging, the management of residual materials, etc... the fact of eliminating this part in the process or in any case to reduce it by a lot (for example if the physical assembly goes from 50 to 5 participants) thus also makes it possible to reduce the carbon footprint.

  • Sources of energy to hold the GA: again, the sources of energy and their quantity used will not be the same if we organize an assembly which will have 50 people on site physically, against only 5 in the context of a mixed GA (hybrid). Indeed, the rented room will be smaller, and the energy costs lower. It should also be noted that a dematerialized GA takes place in less time than a “standard” GA, allowing even more energy savings.

The carbon footprint of dematerialized and mixed (hybrid) GAs is therefore unequivocal, compared to that of the GAs that we used to know until now. agconnect is an eco-friendly tool, which respects the environment, in addition to revolutionizing the world of real estate!
